IT REALLY IS BRIEF

Probably most of us have seen many advertisements on TV or other forms of media for products that offer “the hope” or “promise” of treating or possibly even curing all kinds of different ailments. Some of those may have a proven track record, everyone needs to make their own wise choices-especially when it comes to putting things into their body.

This past fall my wife Ruth and I were watching the TV news, and they had a story about a billionaire who has hired a full-time staff of doctors and it’s their job to treat and test him constantly so that he will live forever! The story went on to say that this billionaire-after being on this program for over two years, has already reduced his “real age” by several years…according to the staff of doctors that work for him!

Rich or poor no matter who you are, I think most of us eventually find out…life on this earth is uncertain and short.

“I’ll Never Get Out Of This World Alive” is a song written by Hank Williams Sr. and Fred Rose. It was released towards the end of 1952 and reached number one on the country charts just weeks after Hank Williams died on January 1, 1953.

Keep in mind what we are taught from the book of James 4:14 NASB “Yet you do not know what your life will be like tomorrow. You are just a vapor that appears for a little while and then vanishes away.”

Also, “Teach us to realize the brevity of life, so that we may grow in wisdom.” Psalm 90:12 NLT

It’s always a good thing to take care of our physical bodies so we can enjoy as much good health as possible. And we should always enjoy our times with family and friends…But…life is short, it really is…Then what?

Something to think about…..

Till Next Time…..

  1. You set the hook, I can’t wait till the next one where you give the Gospel clear and simple. Great job.

  2. Nice! Reminds me of the song ‘We Gotta Get Outta this Place’ by the Animals… I liked your analogy though Steve, and don’t hire your own MD(s).
